VALIDATION

Before presentation of these results to the Procurement Governance Group and Business Sponsor as an Interim Recommendation, a validation exercise should be carried out to confirm the claims made by the leading bidders regarding their offers. Depending on the Sourcing Strategy, there may be between two and as many tens of bidders and it would be inefficient and inappropriate to go through a detailed validation exercise for each of them. It is recommended that, based on the results of the Combined Assessment Model and the TCO Calculations, the leading two, maybe three, bidders be validated.

Some of the more commonly used tools used to carry out this task are:
  • Reference Checks
  • Solution Demonstrations
  • Site Visits
  • Internal Interviews
