GOVERNANCE ENDORSEMENT

It is important that Governance Endorsement be obtained from the relevant stakeholders throughout the entire Procurement Event but the purpose of this endorsement is to ensure that the Procurement Manager has a mandate to commence contract preparation. To gain this endorsement the Procurement Manager should be prepared to present the Final Recommendation to the relevant stakeholders at a formal meeting of the Procurement Governance Group and Business Sponsor.

The minutes of the meeting should record the approval (or otherwise) resulting from the meeting as well as any special conditions requested, such as those to be involved in the negotiation, legal counsel involvement, special conditions relating to timings or whatever else is requested or agreed by the Procurement Governance Group and Business Sponsor.
