PROCUREMENT STRATEGY

Selection of a procurement strategy may be dictated by your organisation’s management or by the appointed Procurement Governance Group for this Procurement Event. In which case you have little choice but execute as defined.

If the question remains open, you should be looking into which of the following may best suit the business’ needs: a single-supplier model versus a dual-supplier model versus a multi-supplier model. Another important point to get clear early is the preferred period of agreement e.g. 3 years, 5 years. More detailed discussion on these questions is given in the references.
